Buy one for your self and one as a House warming Gift.

This thing has saved my #$@# many times, I got it a long time ago for fear my kids would lock us out of our house, and it turns out I have done it! (more than once I might add)

I know People who use the Key under the mat and a key under a rock. But that's not really secure.. (I know others have wrote it's not secure because you can enter the code in any order 1234 or 4321 but even then they don't know what keys you used. 1 - 9 Buttons?#

Anyway I've had one on my house for 13 years now, I bought one for my ex #Yes My Ex# and all my friends. They love it and it hasn't jammed on them or myself.

The model I have, You could actually close it without intering the code. But the new ones make you Enter the code before you lock the key in.

The Combo #Any 1-9 Numbers you aren't forced to use 3,4,5,6 or any combo) Is easily set with your finger or screw driver.

Amazon has the lowest price that I could find. HomeDepot used to carry them however. they only carry the Master Lock Model and I don't like the 3 tumbler style.

The great thing is with the Free Shipping it's the lowest cost.

The first time you use this you will be thankfull you got it.

PS, Buy one for your Parents also, it will save you a trip to their house to unlock their door.

OK this is NOT a high end security key box. You are required to select between 5 and 7 numbers for your combination and the numbers can be entered in any sequence. I suspect there are only a few hundred possible combinations IF you knew that fact. However, most people who might be trying to bypass your security would rather break a window than go to all that trouble.

The documentation that comes with the device is NOT clear. After spending 20 minutes trying to understand the instructions I did a search and found an "English" page with 1,2,3 steps on-line at the GE site. It took only 3 minutes after that to get things working properly. (Note: the secret is that you have to rotate the screws 180 degrees on the back on the safe door for EACH number you are selecting as your number combination.)

I would not like to try opening this box with any power tool in my collection - it appears to be very durable.

It is very pricey for what it is but it does seem to work.

My daughter has used one for years with no problems that being the reason I bought it.

I bought this for a elderly customer of mine who has fancy locks on her doors and sometimes she gets locked out. After reading the directions it was a breeze to set the personal combination and hanging the key safe was also no problem at all . I recommend this product to anyone looking for a sturdy, secure and convenient way to keep a key on the outside of their residence.
